I am trying to find out information on Australian traditions and customs but can't find a creditable source. Does anyone know a website where I can find the following information?

What is courtship and marriage like in Australian culture? Is it highly valued?

How are families similar or different from most families in the United States?

Hi

That's a pretty broad subject there. No 2 relationships are the same. Basically we go out with each other until we move in, get engaged or married to one another. For those who have kids the majority would be very family orientated. We have fun and most of us go on holidays. We also fall out of love, find another person and then the cycle might start again. I do think a lot of us women (mostly baby boomers and the older generation) stayed in marriages that we should've got out of. That's why Australian women now wait until their late 20's or later to settle down and good on them too!!!
Australia is very much a part of this world just because a bit of water is all around us and we're at the bottom a bit doesn't makes us different.
One thing I do like about us true Aussie's is that we're not caught up in religious cults or family obligation "who ha" (demands) that some couples have to abide too.
