What is code 22 on my jeep check engine light? Its a 4.0L 6 cyl automatic...

...transmission 4 wheel drive. ? I had a guy put a new used motor (w/low miles) into my 92 jeep cherokee limited, same type of jeep engine 4.0L 6 cyl. I have automatic transmission & 4wd--a week after, mycheck engine light is on, he said its code 22. But what does code 22 mean? Help please, so I can get this fixed. I called dealership but they were jerks about not telling me anything helpful unless I pay for diagnostic.
 
According to the book (Haynes Manual) A code 22 is this...
either a ECT Sensor voltage is too high or too low ... Engine coolant temp sensor .. the imput is either above or too low for acceptable voltage ..... You'll have to figure out wether it's the T-Stat or coolant level ... Do you have idiot lights or Mechanical Gauges in there..... Maybe a sensor for the idiot lights is gone.... Looks like you'll have to check a few things ,,, Good Luck
