What is causing rattle in rear end of '96 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

'96 Jeep Grand Cherokee has developed a rattle in it's rear end. It's not the exhaust. Seems like I heard that these Cherokees have this problem. Anybody know what causes it, and how to fix it?
