I watched a video of basic there. They have a lot of physical training (running around base as a unit) and endurance courses (crawling under nets, through drains, climbing over things, etc) and of course the gas building (that's so they are used to the gas used and learn to trust their mask).
They also have to learn basic first aid, how to dress and clean a wood and how to insert an IV. They will also learn how to fire certain weapons on the range.
I really like their graduation ceremony. You will see video of the training but not like what I saw (my cousin had more or less a "home video" and it was a bit more raw...like people puking after leaving the gas building).
The base is really nice. If you go to visit him on family day, make sure you check out the museum and the recreated WWII barracks/base.
