Is it usually on a weekend or during the week? My husband leaves for bootcamp dec 9th (EOD-Air Force) I want to purchase my ticket in advance so I can save some money but I'm not sure when it will take place or what to expect? Has anyone experienced this and can you share you experience? I would appreciate it greatly! :)

And DEC 9th is my birthday.

Don't purchase tickets too early in advance because your husband could sprain his ankle and have to stay a couple more weeks.

At graduation, you sit in bleachers and watch a whole bunch of platoons (25-50 man units) march and drill, and then they all line up, SNCOs will give speeches, and then usually the brigade or battalion commander will give a speech. After that point NCOs will come and pin ribbons on each man in their respective platoons. Then, the privates (your husband) say their oath, and fall out, which means they'll come and find you.
