What is bluetooth and does this have it?

I have this motherboard: ASUS P6T SE. I need a bluetooth headset. Does this motherboard support bluetooth? I am actually a fairly advanced computer user, but I live a hermit's life, so I have never needed bluetooth. How does it work? Is there a port to plug a transmitter into or is it inside the computer or what? Can I successfully use a bluetooth microphone/headset with this motherboard? Thanks very much.
I'm about 10 feet away from my computer,that's why I am looking for Bluetooth. The computer itself doesn't have Wi-Fi but it is hooked to a router that does, does that make any difference?
 
Bluetooth is a proprietary open wireless technology standard for exchanging data over short distances (using short wavelength radio transmissions) from fixed and mobile devices, creating personal area networks (PANs) with high levels of security. Created by telecoms vendor Ericsson in 1994,[1] it was originally conceived as a wireless alternative to RS-232 data cables. It can connect several devices, overcoming problems of synchronization.
