What is better for helping mood swings...turning to herbs/vitamins or replacing

coffee with tea? I'm having nasty mood swings. I think as I get older coffee could be the culprit...but then again was thinking maybe an herbal supplement or vitamin would help. I could do both, take vitamins (I already take a multi-vitamin) and replace coffee with tea...but if I had to do only one method, which would be the way to go?
