What is better..a Kawasaki Ninja 250r or ZZR600 for my first bike?

I am about to get my license and I will be getting my first bike next month. I have been going to bike shops and I have my mind set on Kawasaki. I am 6ft 215lbs. Your advice would be very helpful. I spoke to this lady who races bikes and she told me to go 600....what do you think?
