There are reasons that Chevy went bankrupt, but their cars are not any of them. (try GMAC, unions, and a fickle public who suddenly stops buying the biggest, by far, portion of GMs sales, the suv and truck) Ford is only the best selling truck because they do not combine Chevy and GMC trucks, which are mechanically identical. In fact you can take (Ford motor company) FoMoCo's, entire line of trucks, including the few Lincoln and Mercury trucks and they do not come close to the same amount of trucks sold by Chevy and GMC. This doesn't include the few models of other GM brands like Hummer, Buick, and Cadillac. Include those models and GMs line of trucks and suvs outsells Fords line by a gigantic margin. The new Camaro is miles ahead of the Mustang, but suffers from low production numbers, resulting in high markup at the dealer. To me there is no real choice, the Camaro is better looking, better equipped (traction control and limited slip diffs on even the cheapest base model), and a better car altogether.
