Like what might happen, and what could happen now that they lost so much money. How will it affect the world? Or does it matter?

Everybody is in the same boat. It is gonna affect companies as well. If i loose my job, it is a domino effect. I cannot even look at the paper in the morning or the computer without the massive unemployment rates skyrocketing out of proportion. Some things gotta give. I am on a depressive state right now thinking of when I will find a job when my benefits end.

lost confidence in the company for investors and buyers, less investment by the company in creating new jobs, researching better technology, opening new plants etc. job losses and cutbacks, less confidence in the car sector as a whole leading to knock on effects for other car manufacturers.

Maybe it's not really lost...maybe a vice president or someone like that just mislaid it somewhere.

They will close down plants and lay people off that Will have nock on effects to suppliers and home payments also shoppers will be buying less at the plant locations .even if those plants aren't near you or even in your country there will be nock on effects in general commerce .

It matters to the thousands of Toyota employees in the United States who are at risk of being laid off. This will increase the unemployment rate which creates even more competition for the few jobs that are available in this economy. It also exhausts government spending for the unemployment program. Whether you know it or not, this economy is or will be affecting everybody in some way or another.
