What is .iso? it is simply a structure requirement of The International Standards Organization. Basically a type of certification that says what ever was created meets the standards. In our computer world it can be an exact duplicate of a CD done in a compressed format or it can be an exact copy of a Hard Drive. Then we use this .iso image to burn a CD or a DVD of what it has so we can use it. We can also open and run this image .iso file with software programs that will run the .iso file within the Windows environment. You don't want to make an image (you can't run an .iso image file), you want to copy the CD or DVD so it will be ready to work for you.
