I am doing a presentation for my comparative religions class...focusing on roman catholics. It could be about history, present day practices, controversy...anything! Please Help =)

Well, half of all Christians are Roman Catholic; that's about 1 billion people.
There are also 1 billion assorted Protestants, 1 billion Muslims, & 1 billion Hindus.
Those are the major religious groupings in the world; totalling 2/3 of the population.

That Peter was not the first Pope, he had a wife and his ministry was to the Jews;
confession~we are to confess our faults to each other and pray for one another;
we are all sisters and brothers and Christ is the Head (Lord);
the book of Acts (chap 2) show us what christians are

Talk about the art aspect of it and how they have such wonderful pictures of the saints and other religious icons.

Also I believe one of the very early popes was a slave.

You can teach how it's the biggest cult in the world. Who's teachings are based on works, false man doctrines, and using Christianity as a platform to promote it's garbage.

I would imagine several eople in your class will examine the churches role in the recent sex abuse cases. Rather, you could examine the RC churches role in the holocaust, slave trade, human rights, interfaith interaction, etc. For example, search Hugh O'Flaherty on google.
