what is an asp worm, and what are the symptoms when getting bitten by one.

Is it blood pressure to rise, vomit? my friend was bitten by an asp worm according to the doctor, her leg or the vein in her leg swelled way above the skin, her blood pressure shot up, vomiting, ringing in the ears etc. what is an asp worm
