I saw Spring Awakening and I know that there is people sitting on stage singing with the cast. Are those the swing or ensemble? Or are they the same thing? Or are the swings just like understudies? Thanks
Swings are like understudies, ensemble is the rest of the cast besides the leads who support the show with vocals and dancing. They are important.
