key and the dealership costs $200+? I don't need it immediately, it has a chip in it that needs to be programmed, is it possible to this by mail/internet?
 
Not possible by mail. To program the key they need to do it through your car with your vin #. That is why it's so expensive at the dealer. But I think you can program it yourself as long as you have your original key.
