What is a quick start program in university?

I'm in year/grade 12, and I have the option to do a quick start program in area I want to do in university next year.

But I have no clue what a quick start program is! Is it doing the first year of that degree in that area while I'm in grade 12?
I'm very confused!

(I live in Australia).
