A partial solar eclipse is when the moon passes in front of the sun during the daytime and partially conceals the suns light to us observers on Earth, by an extraordinary cosmic coincidence our moon is 400 times less in diameter than the sun but just happens to be 400 times nearer to us than the sun! - thus enabling us humans - unique among most intelligent civilisations in the universe if they are out there - the spectacular privilege of seeing a total solar eclipse of our life giving host star when circumstances prevail.
