Hello,
I was about to complete verifying my financial aid at a CUNY school and apparently they couldn't accept my mother's tax documents because it wasn't "federal". But my mother didn't receive Federal she only received a STATE refund. I asked again and they told me I needed a transcript from IRS. How do I go about obtaining this? and will this be sufficient enough? Also, if my mother didn't pay federal taxes because she receives monthly disability checks then whats the difference?
