it is the first overhead cam,liquid cooled 4 valve per cylinder bike the motor company has ever put into production.Not the first they have ever built. It also uses metric fasteners instead of S.A.E. It is the future of the motor company.
 
There is a visual test you can conduct at any harley dealer that is extremely accurate.... The salesman can enlighten you on the finer points of this fine machine. There is probably a wealth of information on wikipedia, and on the HD website.
 
It's about $20K and 102hp. Hey Harley finally got outside of the double digets for horsepower. The bad news is that it's still lousy horsepower for a 1200cc bike and $20K is a premium price tag and it's gonna corner like a delivery truck. A $10K Yamaha 600 will make it look like a moped.

If you want a harley with any performance get the new Buell without the Harley engine.
