I have a project where I need to create a power point presentation to share with my 8th grade peers and it has to have a connection with United States History or American life. I need one that will be really interesting to do a bunch of research on and I would appreciate it if you wouldn't give me a link to a website because I have already checked many of them. Any Ideas?

Any of the World Wars would work best. Believe me, there is so much that the United States did during the Wars, you could research for hours and not know all of the interesting facts. Also, think of something that you really liked in history class that had to do with the united states. May I also suggest adding some cool features from powerpoint, like sound effects, videos, animations, anything! Be creative! Just go online and look up some powerpoint tutorials.

WORLD WAR 1,,,, is very interest and there is tonssssss of interesting things you can find about this,, wwi was what lead the world to a bad condition,, racism, world economy depresion, and alot more!!!!! go for world war 1 (WWI)

My suggestion would be for you to pick a subject in American history or life which interests you. What ever you choose google it to find the web sites you're needing. Good luck.

Study the similarities in comparison with destruction of democracy and the rise of Fascism in pre-WWII Germany, to the steps being taken towards destruction of democracy and the rise of The New World Order in the US today.

You should do one on the impact of the U.S. Constitution on American life over the years. Ex: Prohibition.

Do something like:

McDonald's: An American Icon

Teen Life in the 50's vs Today

Odd Facts of American History (for this one, look at the book "The Last Cow Standing on the White House Lawn"...it's out of print, but you can pick up a copy for cheap on Ebay I am sure...and it's definitely worth it. It's hilarious! A personal favorite.)

There is also a book called "A Rhyming History of Britain"...if you are at all poetic, you could do a Rhyming History of America or some shorter topic.

I'll give you the same list of awesome random topics, and pick one out for you as I have many other people seeking A+ topics.

There's so much to talk about...take your pick.

1. Contemporary Life in Palestine

2. 9/11

3. The Quran and Islam

4. Black Holes

5. Polytheistic origins of ancient civilisations

6. The Pros and Cons of Marijuana Use

7. Television as a military weapon of propaganda

8. Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold: What is the boiling point of tormented teenagers? Beyond The Columbine High School Massacre

These may require you to do a little bit of reading so that you know what you're talking about, but I highly recommend numbers 2, 7, and 8.
