what is a good way to take some gravel out of a tank with fish inside?

I am taking out some white to put in black gravel.. would a fish net work alright? Do you have any ideas of what else i could use?

yea a net would do fine, if not great just dont overhaul the gravel and even out your loads and have a place to put it cuz i have 2.5 gallons of blue gravel sitting in a bucket in my room lol, good luck

a net will work. But be aware that this will disturb you tank and it will be cloudy for some time after. But make sure the filter is running as it should. also you will be removing some of the benecfial bactial in the tank so keep a close eye on the tank perimeters with water testing.
