What is a good way to cook brown rice without it turning out sticky?

I go by the directions, but turns out sticky every time : ( Should I use waay too much water then drain it? How long should I cook it for?
Yes barry I do U___U I can already tell that "minute" rice is more for you! Bwahahahahaha
