$300 without a contract? So far we have only found the HTC Droid Eris, which costs about $300 on eBay / Craigslist.

We stress that this phone must be contract free.
 
You could probably find a BB for around 300 too.. Any phone that you activate wont extend the contract as long as you don't upgrade with verizon.. BUT.. a phone from online will have no warranty and you run the risk of it being a lost or stolen phone..
 
look into flashed phones for cricket wireless or boost mobile unfortunately you often loose functionality and have to get stuck in contracts most of the time if you want a nice phone
 
there is not you have to pay way more than 300$ and Y would you want one without a contract NVM, but your best bet is to get one off of ebay or craigslist
