How big are you, what is your weight? Are you stronly boned?
Are you physically strong? These will determine what bike you fit on, and then whether you can physically handle it's weight & performance.
women are the fairer sex, and as such they are much more seriously injured than a male in a given bike crash. Also, women suffer more than men from any cosmetic injury they might receive.
I'm not saying don't ride, I'm saying be aware of the risks, and dress and ride accordingly-always.
Get test rides where you can, to see what the model is like before you buy one,
NEVER buy a Chinese bike, the first of a new model, a bike without riding it, on looks, on a wet day or after dark, ONLY buy a bike that does what you want, that you can cope with & can afford. Always find out who did the servicing, when serving is next due, and how much it will cost. Always, until you know enough to go solo, take an experienced, HONEST friend with you to apraise it. TAKE their advice if negative.
