im trying to cut down on fats but im like in love with tuna fish saled (like with tuna, mayo, and sometimes relish, and sometimes celery) thanks so much!!!!!

A combo of olive oil and mustard.

Use regular yellow mustard, the spicy stuff will be overkill!

They have a new mayo made with olive oil that has a much better fat content ratio than traditional mayo - use it sparingly and it is great!

Go for a mix of 50/50 low fat may and low fat sour cream. If you are really worried about fat calories, make one of these fat free instead of low fat. Reduced fat mayo only has 35 calories and a few grams of fat and it tastes much better than the fat free version, Add lots of chopped veggies, too, like cucumbers and carrot for crunch and flavor. Pickles add more flavor than relish and they aren't so sweet.

You can try to replace the mayo with sour cream or yogurt, but it will change the taste.

I've been wondering if I could make tuna salad with guacamole instead of mayo - but that might not cut down on the fat content.

Technically, some people use Miracle Whip (which is a salad dressing) instead of mayo - but that's nasty.
