What is a good persuasive speech topic?

I'm taking speech comp. this year as an elective in my sophomore year, and we have to present a persuasive speech. However, I have no idea what to do. It has to be something that isn't too contraversial, so that rules out abortion, the death penalty, evolution, etc. I'm having a really hard time but my teacher gave us a great example as to why you should be an organ donor. It was an awesome speech so I'm leaning toward why you should do something or join a group/organization. Any thoughts?
