some day (hopefully soon) i wanna get a motorcycle, but ive looked through some bigger name brand bikes and they dont fit my bill. Im not completely satisfied with the other from the pics and specs ive seen. all of them look compact and small where as i want something is bridge the gap between a super sport and sport touring. So can anyone help me with this?

The Kawasaki Ninja is a perfect fit in this category. It comes in a number of engine sizes and the power and the actual size of the bike vary accordingly. It is a very popular and a very dependable bike. You wouldn't have any complaints about it.

The Honda CBR, Yamaha R1 are also pretty popular.

If you cannot manage to save enough money to buy one of these, you can always consider buying a used bike. If you go to a reputed dealer, you could get very good quality and a warranty as well. Alternatively, you could look up a classifieds site like www.gumtree.com or www.craiglist.com or even the newspaper.

Best of luck, hope you find your dream bike.

If you have never owned a motorcycle before do yourself and your family
a big favor. Do NOT buy a large sport bike. They are very powerful and are meant for experienced riders only. If you are an experienced rider take a look at the Yamaha FJR 1300. It is a fantastic machine and is capable of satisfying your need for sport riding as well as being a very capable tourer.
