What is a good first car? Help, please.?

I'm sixteen in a few months and I'm looking for a cute, reliable, cheap car. I have had my eye on a 2004 Toyota Matrix for a while now and I love it a lot. Is it a good car? Any other ideas?

I really want your opinion on the Toyota matrix but I also want some other car ideas.

ya its pretty good, the matrix have great reliability power and lots of room for the girls. now whats the milage on the car? now since your 16 that car would be great on insurance since its older and has lots of safe features. one last thing when you think of purchasing it take it to a mechanic and let him check it out to see if theres any problems.

the toyota matrix would be a great car. I am sure you would like it. i know honda's are nice as well and i know a lot of my friends like the mazda 3 as well.
