Don't know about the online prices but I always try to over-filter. For example I have a 20 Gallon tank and I have a filter that for 50 Gallon tanks. My tank is extremely clear, and I don't see anything wrong, like the fishes acting strange, so it seems good. For an over-filter for your size tank try something that would filter a 300 Gallon tank.
