What is a good beginner road bike? I have read around and see that the "good" ones are around $700. Being this my first road bike, I don't see myself spending that much. I would spend more around $300. I have been looking at this Wal-mart bike (GMC Denali) and have a few questions. Would it 'last' 100 miles a day? My only fear is getting a flat half-way through the trip and being stuck there. Besides that, I would make sure it 'fits' and is a comfortable ride. Just not to sure what really separates this bike, from the Specialized and Trek bikes.
