NIU is a great college for an education degree. I went to Lewis but like the state tuition fees. I heard that UIC is great too. If you are looking to become a teacher stick with the state schools (U of I, ISU, SIU,NIU, UIC, WIU, EIU) the costs are lowers and you will be happy when you graduate and don't have huge student loan payments. You can get a great education at any Illinois State University.
