I recently moved to the north side of campus and my classes are all the way on the south side of campus. It can take me up to 30 minutes to get to class walking on a fast day...and 45 minutes on a rainy or slow day. I would like to get a bike, but our campus has strict policies on parking bike instead buildings and dorm rooms (its supposedly a safety hazard, because our rooms and building are very small). There are A LOT of bike thefts on campus, so I'm afraid to get my bike stolen. Has anyone had similar problems? What can I do, especially if I can not find a cheap used bike? Should I even get a bike or just walk?
