Some people at work say there's these people that wiggle and move in water and there called Fish. Is it true, do they exist and what do they do?

A fish is any aquatic vertebrate animal that is typically ectothermic (or cold-blooded), covered with scales, and equipped with two sets of paired fins and several unpaired fins. Fish are abundant in the sea and in fresh water. :)

there is no such thing as people that wriggle and move in water ! but there is only small vertebrates in the water.
