What is a example of Direct Democracy?

It's when citizens make their laws and policies in person, I think they do that in Switzerland, not sure though.

An example other than a place is a bit hard...

You know how in America (if you're from America) we elect people as legislators to represent us in congress? Well in direct democracy they don't have to have representatives, all of the people speak for themselves and make their own laws.

A real world example or a generic example?

I don't know a real world one, but a direct democracy would be one in which all voters vote for everything that will be affecting them, meaning every voter could vote for any law that would affect them.
