What is a Degenerative Cyst?

I was just reading over my MRI report, and it says that I have a degenerative cyst. For one of the findings, It says: "Grade 1 L5-S1 spondylolisthesis with a degenerative cyst at the dorsal aspect of the left L5 pars." What is that?
 
Sorry. i have never heard of this before. I hope someone can help you. Maybe try a google search on it?
 
Maybe thats what was put on the MRI report but there is another name for it? Maybe call the doc and ask if there is another name for it.......
 
is it a cyst in a hole in the bone???? My sister has one on the heel of her foot on the bottom. Its a cyst in a hole in the bottom of her foot. It is a degenerative thing...and usually born with it. Thats all it amounts to. A cyst in the bone...that i think break down the bone. Hers had to be removed. It got so bad she almost lost her foot. I think they are sending her to a wound center. To help it heal.

Type in degenerative cyst in lurabar area on the site you did your search....I typed that in and there was several post on that. I didnt check how many pages but there is info about it there. Hope this helps you.....
