I don't drink alcohol, but come across recipes which call for wine. Sometimes up to a bottle. Is there a good substitute?
Example. Short ribs. Uses 1 bottle of red wine, plus 6 cups of beef stock. I want to get the deep, rounded flavor of wine, but without alcohol. And no, not all the alcohol is cooked out. I'm allergic to alcohol, and any will make me very sick.
