Did you ever go to camp? Or go camping? Remember egg-in-a-hole or egg-in-a-basket (I'm sure there are other names). I don't know what it is about them - basically it's a fried egg, but it's oh-so-much better...
You just cut or tear a hole in the center of a slice of bread. Throw a lot of butter in a pan and heat it up. Put the bread into the pan and crack an egg into the hole in the bread. Cook it for a few minutes then flip it over to finish it off. I like mine with the yolks still runny. I also stuff the part of the bread I cut out into the pan as well.
I guess it's like really really really good toast with fried egg?
