What is a better pre-law major for me: Political Science or English?

I'm going to college in the fall and I'm planning on becoming a lawyer. I've done some research and found that Political Science, English, and Philosophy are the typical pre-law majors.

I've been in honors and AP classes and got a 5 on the AP Language and Composition Exam but I'm not very confident in my reading and writing skills, which I presume to be the focus of English classes. It's not that I'm bad at it. I just don't know if I can do it at a college level because I find classic novels kind of boring and I dread writing essays, though I think I'll have to write a lot if I take Political Science as a major as well. So I don't know if I should major in English to improve my skills (because I hear that it's very useful in drafting contracts, etc.) On the other hand, I've also heard that it's very hard which would probably not be good for my GPA.

I'm getting an A in my Government class, which is basically Political Science (right?). I do find it somewhat interesting and it may be a good head start for my law career. But at this time, I don't really know what type of law I want to go into. I'm leaning towards Family Law such as Probate Law, but I'm not sure because I haven't explored them very much.

I'd like answers from current lawyers or college students who are taking either Political Science or English as their major.
How do you like the courses, what has been your experience with the classes, and what do you think would be more beneficial towards my goal?
