What is 3G on Samsung Wave?

I've read a review about Samsung Wave (planning to buy one) and i read something with 3G, it says that it won't YouTube videos when it is on 3G, what is 3G?

I don't know much about mobile phones. :)

And where could I download YouTube App? I also read something about it that it won't be available on the App Store.

Help me? :)
