For the last ten years I've watched companies and brands like Old Navy, Gap, American Eagle, Aeropostale... etc slowly decline in the quality of their clothing (especially women's clothing). The other day I compared an Old navy tee I brought five years ago and a newer one from last year. The material on the older one was thick and holding up really well. The newer was thin with tiny holes! I don't shop at these stores anymore just because the quality of the sewing and material is so bad and barely can hold up washing alone.
What also really bugs me still is that the kids clothing is much higher in quality than the adults! You would think it would be the other way around since kids grow out of their clothes. And there also a sense of them creating to appeal to the hip teen/young adult groups or anyone trying to dress like one.
So my question is... what happened to the quality of adult clothing from five-ten years ago?
I'm just a 20 year old female trying to dress well and respectable.
