I did it for a while in the early eighties in California. My biggest problems were 1__Having too many other aggressive sales persons working on my lot and 2__Not so honorable dealership management.

As for experience, there is an old saying that "Green peas sell cars". I suspect it is still true so, You'll probably get in almost anywhere you want.
 
business? For example, going in for an interview. What will they be looking for in a future employee?
I have no experience in selling cars, but sold home theater merchandise for a few years. Will a can do attitude and love for sales and talking to people get me in?
