...popular sport by 1969? In a 1961 Gallup poll 34% of Americans named baseball as their favorite sport while 21% named Football.

In 1969 in another Gallup Poll 36% said Football was there favorite sport while only 21% chose Baseball.

What people and events in the 1960's would contribute to American sports fan becoming such fans of Pro Football?
