What images symbolize understanding?

I have to do this thing for school, and I need a symbol for understanding and a description of why it symbolizes understanding. I don't want the word "understanding" in another language. I was looking at the Akoma Ntoso (linked hearts) Adinkra symbol from West Africa, but everywhere I looked, it only had a very short description. If anyone could give me a more detailed description of that symbol, or another symbol for understanding, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Well, maybe two people with their foreheads touching one another, with their eyes closed. That would symbolized two people understanding one another.
