What if your boss yelled at you for something you didn't do? Would you argue?

For example. Lets say your boss told you to go get a paper printed out for him, but right after he's done with you, he tells you to forget it, its okay. So you turn around and go on with your work. 30 minutes later he comes back to your desk and asks you where's the paper he asked for and he's a short tempered guy so he's volcano erupting angry and probably fire you if you argue with him, and he's blaming you for the paper and you knowing its not your fault because you told you himself that you didn't have to get his paper. Would you argue with him?

No. I would ask to speak with him privately. Calmly and quietly, I'd inform him of the facts. I'd also remind him that I am a human being that deserves respect. If he continues to treat me disrespectfully, I will bring the matter to the attention of his superiors.
