What if Ruby / Spears didn't get sold off?

You know, I was watching Boomerang today and they are cycling back in their Ruby-Spears cartoons again.

Ruby-Spears really made up a good chunk of the 1980s programming when there was a big boom in American Animation.

It got me wondering, what if instead of selling off, Ruby-Spears stuck around through the new century and head lined remakes of some of their old series.

Where would be today?
 
Wonder what an updated version of "Fangface" would be like... if he'd still be changing to/from a werewolf at seeing pictures of the sun and moon or not. :-p

(The recent Scooby film , "Goblin King" made reference to Fangface---he's listed as an entry, photo and all, in a book of mystical creatures...so guess he exists in Scooby's world).

Apparently they're working on new shows, including Big Mouth, Super Racing Fighting Frogs, and Kick*** Klass (something tells me that last one will probably be retitled).
 
Thats actually a really interesting site.

The site has some of those things that you usually would see on POS Geocities sites, but they did it in such a campy way that it actually looks neat/funny and works.

I noticed there's a lot of material not mention there they worked on, but a lot not listed they also worked on.

The biggest one I noticed is they took over G.I. Joe in the 80s for (I believe) the 'final' season.

I'd be willing to bet they steered away from mentioning series like that because company's like Hasbro want 100% possessorary control over their product. Heck, I've heard of Hasbro demanding people pull Hasbro products they worked on off their online resumes just because it was public >.
 
Actually, DIC Enterprises handled the 'final' season of G.I. Joe. Ruby-Spears did deal with an animated military action-adventure program, namely Rambo & the Force of Freedom. You had the right idea, but I think you meant Rambo. BTW, if you're talking about G.I. Joe Extreme, that program was produced by Gunther-Wahl Productions, whom produced the first season of Wild West C.O.W.-Boys of Moo Mesa, before Ruby-Spears took over for season 2.
 
We'd probably be getting a remake of their old Mega Man Cartoon I suppose. I've read somewhere that they had plans for future seasons implementing Bass and Treble and possibly more recurring cameos by Mega Man X but I'm not exactly sure how true or accurate that is.

Really though, that's the only Ruby-Spears cartoon I can recall seeing.
