What if my car won't start and I be already tried jumping it?

I went out to my car and my key was having trouble turning... it started but a couple lights were on like the abs light and brake light. I got to my friends apartment and when I went to get my car later and it wouldn't start so I tried to jump it and not even the lights turned on so idk why my car is so messed up please help me
