how do you think history might have turned out differently if lincoln wasn't shot?would there have been the bitterness that lingered in the south for years?
maybe if he where killed befor becoming president and some other president had prevented the war from ever accuring the bitterness may not have lingered in the south for years. slaves would have been freed by the south voluntarrally anyway by the time the industrial revolution rolled around.
