Long story short, I needed the HUD-1 form to file for the $8k homeowners credit. I submitted a form I *thought* was the right one with my tax return, but when cleaning out my car yesterday I found the actual form I was supposed to have sent with my return. What am I supposed to do? Am I going to be penalized for sending the wrong form?
