I have an art installation project due at uni and the site I have is outdoors with a grassy area and trees, there is a slope that leads down to a flat area, and on the left of the flat area is a three figure statue. It also happens to be outside a Uni library and the area is almost always crowded. The space I have to work with is relatively big. What ideas on the kind of artwork does anyone have that might be site-specific? Or visually impactful.. Or anything!! If I could get as many ideas as possible, that would be great!!

i think you should re-create the sun! put something that relates to the sun up on the hill and that 3 figure statue thing can relate to one of thos daytime sun dial things? and because all the nature around. .. you are re creating the sun? either that or maybe because its installation you could get something that will melt.. liek ice or something... or something that you would be able to see over the top of grass and take photos every ten minutes of it melting down the hill and forming different shapes and puddles on the flat plane? could relate to global warming?

just few ideas of the top of my head?

You could work out something abstract which is aesthetically captivating, in terms of its geometry, colours, balance/imbalance.

Some clever and thought-provoking use of curves, with strong colours like bright red may work.

Try getting inspirations from weird and unconventional architecture around the world.

All the best! =)
