What have you done to FST

Hey all,

I love filesharing talk and use the newsgroups section everyday however since the update to the website I am not able to find any films or even use the search to locate something I'm looking for.

Unfortunately the site is so unusable I'm had to go else where for NZB's. Did I miss a memo or something, I just cant' use this site?

1. It will be a few days until all of the old stuff is transported over to the updated board.

The old NZBs are here:

http://filesharingtalk.com/forums/120-TV-NZBs

http://filesharingtalk.com/forums/108-Game-NZBs

http://filesharingtalk.com/forums/107-Software-amp-Miscellaneous-NZBs

http://filesharingtalk.com/forums/106-Music-NZBs

http://filesharingtalk.com/forums/80-Movie-NZBs

2. Are you unable to use the search, or is it just not turning up enough results? If you are unable to use the search, what browser are you using? If you just aren't getting many results, refer back to #1.

If you'll be patient over the coming days while tesco updates the board in stages, I'm sure you'll find the NZB section to be much better than it was before. :)

GTFO becomehokage you little bitch, I made simple points about terrible user experiences.

Thanks for the update Skiz i didnt know the work was on going. For example when I search for

"The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo"

I get lots of forum discussions with the word 'the' and no nzb's, I tried other searches and got the same result.

For starters, try using the NZB search function, located within the NZB index. That will only search NZBs. But remember, there are a limited number of NZBs on the current board until everything is updated.

If your search queries are turning up threads and posts, you are using the forum search function which looks for those keywords throughout the entire forum.

There was never any intention to move the old NZB posts to the new system. Not sure who said that.
That would be a HUGE amount of work for very little benefit. The old threads still exist and teh NZBs in them are still downloadable, and that's all I will do for that.

I suppose I just assumed they would come over at one time with the posts, but now that you mention it, since the new NZB section does not consist of "threads", I guess there would be a conflict there.

Will the retention here remain at 70 days? (I think that's what it was....)

I too use this forum everyday, i love it. But the new update did have me very confused and then it appeared that the nzbs stopped coming in. Took me a few day to locate where they were and about a week to actually find it in the old style, in categories.

http://filesharingtalk.com/nzbs/ - on the right hand side, under the main headings youll find tv, movies, games etc...

yeah i was also surprised with the new layout, i hope that the old and new nzbs can be joined and i can use the old movies, games links like before, also since the update, Xmarks no longer inputs my username and password, its freakin annoying me now!

Delete your FST cookie and try logging in again.

No matter how many time i delete my cookies and delete my xmarks settings for FST it wont give the old "remember username and password?" buttons, it does however remember my password, just not my username.

annoying as i only have to type that out and not the password weirdly

First message and I did try to find an answer in the forums. I have tried Firefox and Explorer to search for a movie or tv show in the new nzb area and all results are negative. I even tried to search for the word "White" as I know there are some white collar posts. Is the search not working or is it just me :-)

Thanks
